Casino Peak, locally known as Lugsangan Peak, rises in Sitio Lugsangan, Barangay Tabon, between the municipalities of Badian and Dalaguete in south-central Cebu. The summit is a dramatic spiny limestone formation that rewards hikers with unobstructed 360-degree views of rolling green hills, rice terraces, and the coastline far below. The trail is a 5.1-mile out-and-back route rated as challenging and takes around three hours round-trip. Unlike neighboring Osmeña Peak, it attracts far fewer visitors, making it a quieter alternative in the same highland corridor. The site is managed by a local family whose small bungalow serves as the information desk and ticket office at the trailhead. Entrance costs PHP 50 per person. Overnight camping occurs informally in the area, but no organized campsite infrastructure exists and no overnight fee has been formally documented by any source. Day hikers are the primary visitors. Those staying overnight should be fully self-sufficient with tents, water, and food, as no amenities are available beyond the trailhead.
