Lake Holon is a volcanic crater lake formed within the caldera of Mount Melibengoy (also called Mount Parker), sitting at approximately 1,823 metres above sea level in T'boli, South Cotabato. The lake is renowned for its exceptionally clear, cold water, a forested caldera rim, and dramatic stargazing conditions. Two trails access it: the longer Salacafe trail (over 9 km, 3–4 hours) and the steeper Kule route (about 7.5 km, 5–6 hours). A short boat ride from the trailhead arrival deposits campers on the main camping peninsula—a grassy flat surrounded almost entirely by water. All visitors must register and pay fees at the T'boli Municipal Tourism Office before proceeding to the jump-off. Registration and entrance fee is PHP 100, with an environmental fee of PHP 50. Guide fees are PHP 400 for Salacafe (up to 10 pax) or PHP 600 for Kule (per guide). Tent rental is PHP 300–350/night. A refundable garbage deposit of PHP 350 is charged for overnight stays. Campfires are prohibited at the lakeside campsite; portable stoves must be used. The lake observes an annual rest closure (typically January–February/March) for conservation.
