Lake Apo is a 24-hectare crater lake nestled at roughly 640 metres above sea level in Barangay Guinoyoran, Valencia City, Bukidnon. Surrounded by forested hills, it was recognized as the cleanest inland body of water in Northern Mindanao (Region X) in the late 1990s. The lake has a maximum depth of about 85 feet and its still waters reflect the surrounding ridgelines, making it one of the most photogenic freshwater spots in Mindanao. The Lake Apo Nature Park offers tent-pitching areas along the shoreline, communal bathroom facilities, floating cottages, kayaking, fishing, and horseback riding on the surrounding trails. Stargazing and bonfire nights are popular after dark. The park is open daily from 8 AM to 6 PM; overnight tent-pitching is available at PHP 750 per night. Entrance is PHP 70 per person (does not include floating cottage or pool access). Boat tours and kayak rentals can be arranged on-site.
